Summer is a key time for children’s and youth ministry! In summer of 2011 we hope to build on the foundation that has been laid this summer as well as adding new opportunities for camps and youth group activities.

Each summer we bring youth ages 8-18 to Kids Across America (KAA) Kamp for a week in the Ozark mountains of Missouri. Here’s what a few of them had to say about last summer’s camp experience:
“Since i’ve been back from the KAA trip i have continued to put god first in my life. God had began to use me as a leader to convince other to follow his path. So im really thankful for getting the oppourtunity to expirience all the positivity and great activitys at KAA.” -Bernell, age 17
“IT MADE ME REALIZE DAT GOD HAS A PLAN FOR MY LIFE EVEN WEN HARD TIMES COME” -Dorothy, age 18
“When I was at Kaa god had work on me and my patience with others. He taught me to love those who dislike me and persecute me.” -Bertel, age 16
“Im glad i went bc i’ve grown nd styll have more to learn about god..nd im continuing to go down da rite path,,evn if i have to let sumthings go.. THANK YOU:)” -Bianca, age 17
We are also partnering with A Desire For Change summer day camp here in New Orleans. A Desire For Change is a non-profit youth ministry in collaboration with Sampson Park launched by Dwana Caliste, a Desire Fellowship member and Desire Street Ministries alumni.
